About Me
Luma Lubbad is a Milwaukee-based multi-media artist who focuses on portraying lived experiences through figurative work. Lubbad’s work examines her own intersectional identity by creating work that addresses the parts of her being that she feels are often under-represented in media, such as existing in a plus-size body, being mixed ethnicity, living with mental illness, the difficulty of existing as a woman and healing from trauma.
Lubbad graduated from Peck School of the Arts in December 2023 with honors and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting & Drawing.
Her work has been shown in various Milwaukee area exhibitions as well as in Moody Zine.
